OpenEvo
Introduction to OpenEvo
OpenEvo is the methodology that allows Evo M51 users to develop their own custom Xcelerator Blocks and integrate them into the on-board FPGA.
This methodology requires the following tools:
- Arduino IDE
- Intel Quartus Prime Lite, Version 17.1 (Free)
- Text/code editor of your choice
Notes:
- Quartus Prime Lite is only supported on Windows and Linux.
- Creating a custom XB requires knowledge of Verilog/VHDL design and familiarity with Intel Quartus and Modelsim tools. However, we have automated as many of the steps as we can into the scripts that we provide.
